What is an Applicant?

An applicant is someone who shows interest in a job vacancy at a company by submitting personal and professional information, usually through a resume or application form. This submission begins the hiring process, during which the organisation evaluates all applicants based on their qualifications, experience, and suitability for the position. The company picks individuals for interviews from this pool of applicants to identify the best fit for the position they are seeking to fill.
